To immediately get new members engaging in your Network, you can set up an Icebreaker Question in each of your Spaces. Your Icebreaker Question is the very first thing people see and it’s our most popular way to get folks contributing right out of the gate! The question will only show to new members of your Mighty Network.
If you had an Icebreaker Question before the transition to Spaces, it will be in your new Home Space now. Important note: if you turn off the Feed feature in your new Home Space, then you will lose your Icebreaker Question. You can always re-set it up, but just a note to remember.
How to Create Your Icebreaker Question
If you’re on Community Plan or higher, you will be able to enable Polls and Questions in the Feed feature of an individual Space.
From there, you will be able to create your Icebreaker Question!
Icebreaker Question in a Space
To add an Icebreaker Question to a Space, you will need to enable the Feed feature in the Space. To enable the feature, go to the gear icon > Space Features > Feed and toggle the feature on.
It will prompt you to add a question. After you have added the question, then you will want to select Manage where you can see how the question looks to your members, or Ask Another Question.
Your question can be drop-dead simple, to the point, and totally obvious. The magic is that an Icebreaker Question gets your members contributing as soon as they join. With their new answers, new notifications go out, which in turn brings people back for a second visit.
Note: New members won't be able to post in the Feed until they've answered the Icebreaker Question.

Icebreaker Suggestions
This AI feature is available for Community plans and up. Space Hosts can set up the Icebreaker Question by going to the gear icon in the Space > Features > Feed > Manage and scrolling to the bottom to toggle the question on. You will need to have the Feed feature enabled in the Space in order to use this feature.
After you select Manage, you will see a suggested question. If you would like more suggestions, you can select “Suggest Ideas” and even change the tone of the question.
How to Edit or Change Your Icebreaker Question
You can change the Icebreaker Question anytime by clicking on the button that says "Ask a Different Question." Or you can remove it altogether by turning off this feature.
The new Icebreaker Question you create will then be visible to new members as part of the onboarding process when they first join.
This question is also open for existing members to answer if they see it in their feed, or if they can find it via search! It exists exactly like a regular Question within your Mighty Network.
